Kenshi Online
Kenshi Online is a fork of Shared Wastelands by Melaus (MIT licence), renamed Kenshi Online. Its purpose is to let you connect to dedicated servers: worlds that keep running on their own, which you join from the MULTIPLAYER button in Kenshi's main menu (favourites list, friends, number of players connected).
Status: the dedicated-server engine (the program that hosts a persistent world with nobody playing on it) is still being tested and will be published soon. Until then, the mod itself is also in testing, so expect bugs.
Credit and licence: see CREDITS.md and LICENSE.
Install and stay up to date
Open a terminal in Kenshi's mods folder (...\Steam\steamapps\common\Kenshi\mods) and run:
git clone https://git.vindihub.online/vindi/kenshi-online.git "Kenshi Online"
The folder must be called exactly Kenshi Online. Then:
- Close Kenshi and run
Kenshi Online\SharedWastelandsSetup.exeonce. - In Kenshi's launcher, Mods tab, tick Kenshi Online.
To update, run git pull inside the Kenshi Online folder (with Kenshi closed).
